Name Change

Hello Everyone,
At last, Spring is in full swing. All of those rainy days have given us pretty flowers, the days are sunny and bright, and we're ready for some relaxation.

The name of my blog has been changed. I decided to return to the original name of my business: Savon Marie. This was the name I used for about ten years. I changed it thinking I needed or wanted to have the feeling of a store. Your Bath Boutique seemed apporopriate, but it never seemed quite right. I have decided to simplify a lot of things in my life, and my business is one of them. I can assure you that the only thing that is changing is the title. The products will remain the same. In fact, simplifying is allowing me to do what I have been doing even better. So I am working on a few new formulas for lotions and potions.

To celebrate, I am having a giveaway. June 1 happens to be Marilyn Monroe's birthday. So anyone who leaves a comment will be eligible for a gift of Body Wash and Hand Cream in a fragrance named for Marilyn; it's Marilyn's Marvelous Melons. Add a piece of information about Marilyn, and if you win, I will add a bonus of Lotion Spray. The winner's name will be drawn on Friday, June 6.

Oh, this is fun Marie. Ok. Marilyn was actually born in the charity ward at Los Angeles County Hospital, I thought this was kind of interesting. I had no idea she was born in L.A. Thanks for the giveaway! Can't wait to see who wins!

Marie, I love your name change. Suits you better! My trivia about MM: Marilyn got the name Marilyn Monroe with the help of talent scout Ben Lyon. He chose the name Marilyn, from stage actress Marilyn Miller, and she chose Monroe, which was her mother's maiden name.

Pink hugs, Karen

I love the new, old name. It fits perfectly.

Did you know that: Marilyn was in a total of 29 films. "Something's Got to Give" would have been her 30th.

Hi Marie, I love your blog and your name is just wonderful, I'm a new member at MMP and I'm having a great time going around to all the blog's and websites! Anyway, the movie 'Misfits" was the last movie ever made by clark Gable and last one ever finished by Marilyn Monroe. Thanks for inviting me to see your blog! Always, Teresa.

what a lovley idea ~ and the name Marilyn's Marvelous Melons is absolutely hysterical!

Ok, in 1942 Norma Jean used to work in an munitions plant in Burbank California, while she was married to her first hubby Jimmy Dougherty.

Nice to know that she was just a simple working lady and I love that she was a size 14 ~ that makes my day!

Hugs, xoxoxo

Hi Marie,
Love the lily in the fleur-de-lis, how classic.......
Marilyn Monroe converted to Judaism before she married Arthur Miller the playrwright who wrote the "Misfits" as a gift for her. I just saw that movie the other day. What a sad, sad movie in content and in the passing of three great stars soon after.
On a lighter note, I love the new name Savon Marie, so descriptive of where you are taking your business.

As a fellow old movie buff I've always loved the "Blonde in a Bottle" theme and the clever connections to the golden age bombshells. In fact all of the theme names are smart, witty and just make the products feel even more delicious! A true creative presentation and treat!

Some Marilyn facts: she was a brunette, and I'm told by some very reliable sources that when she shopped she often didn't wear panties! Hope that's not too risque to mention - even for Norma Jean!
