Notable Quote and Giveaway

On Success...
"I never sought success in order to get fame and money; it's the talent and the passion that count."
Words to live by. Talent and passion are always a winning combination. Have you noticed how everything changes when you have a passion for something?
Let's celebrate our passion with a give-away.
It's simple. Just leave a comment. In your comment, identify the classic beauty (pictured above) who said these powerful words and you will receive a gift set of soap and lotion. Want a bonus? Identify the fragrance on my website named for her and where it came from, and I will add Body Mist and a few other goodies. It really is so easy. If more than one person provides the information, the gift goes to the first person with the most complete information. Start here Blonde in a Bathtub.

I think it is Ingrid Bergman. The fragrance is Ingrid's Moonlight
& Love Songs. I'm not sure what you mean by where it came form. I found it in the Blonde in a Bathtub fragrance section. Did you mean where the name came from?

How much fun! Definitely Ingrid Bergman. You named her fragrance "Moonlight and Love Songs", I will guess it came from "Casablanca".

Hi Marie,
I'm a little late (just got home from work),but that is the beautiful Ingrid Bergman. I love her in Notorious, and Casablanca, but my favorite two Ingrid Bergman movies are Gaslight and the one where she plays Golda Meir (sp) Prime Minister of Israel. Thanks for the contest and the remembrance of Ingrid Bergman, one of the greatest stars of all times.OMG did I just leave out Spellbound, The Bells of St. Mary, and Murder on the Orient Express, lol. I need a classic movie fix now.......

OK..we have it as Ingrid Bergman...and it is from Ingrid's Moonlight & Love Songs...and the line comes from

"As Time Goes By" Words and Music by Herman Hupfeld...

Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date.
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate.
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny

BECAUSE...
You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss,
a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by.

Ah..."Casablanca"...sigh...
